It’s official: Cyprus has been named the best value winter sun destination for 2019!

Research undertaken by Post Office Travel Money has confirmed what those living in Cyprus and working within the travel and tourism industry have long known.

Assessing key factors – including the cost of a one-week holiday package at the beginning of January, an evening of wining and dining, and the cost of beverages such as coffee and beer – the Post Office Travel Money team concluded that Cyprus reigns supreme as offering travellers from the UK the most competitive prices amid glorious, much-coveted winter sunshine.

The ancient city of Paphos, just 25 minutes from our Resort– made famous as Europe’s Capital of Culture 2017 – was singled out even further as being of superior value.

Picturesque and peaceful, Paphos is beloved by family travellers, and culture seekers alike, thanks to its host of beaches, and sites of archaeological, historical, and cultural significance, including the Tombs of the Kings, Medieval Castle, and world-revered mosaics.

Of course, winter sun in Cyprus is much milder than its prickly summer counterpart, with visitors choosing to swim and sunbathe. Still, the typically bright blue skies and soft warm rays serve as the ideal backdrop for intrepid exploration of the island’s natural beauty and touristic offerings, spanning venturing out on cycling or hiking routes, engaging in a round of golf at one of the four world-class golf courses, visiting local wineries, discovering the host of archaeological sites, and more.
