Columbia Honoured With A New Award & A Host of Nominations!

The Columbia Beach Resort team is delighted to be able to share the news with its valued guests that it has been honoured as Beach Resort Hotel of the Year in the 2019 Corporate Travel Awards.

A unique distinction within the world of corporate travel, this award attests to our Resort’s rich and varied offerings, and our staff members’ ability to create distinct and distinguished experiences for our guests, whether visiting for business or pleasure.

It is also with great excitement that we can share our most recent nominations, within the scope of the World Travel Awards, Seven Star Awards, and – for its inaugural year in honouring restaurants in Cyprus now as well as Greece – the Chrisi Skoufi awards, revered within the industry as being the Greek equivalent to the Michelin Star awards.

Columbia Beach Resort is truly honoured to have become a mainstay of the annual World Travel Awards, winning on multiple occasions across numerous categories, including Mediterranean’s Leading Resort, and Europe’s Leading Luxury All Suite Resort.

This year, Columbia Beach Resort has been nominated for six awards in total:

• Europe’s Leading All Suite Hotel;
• Europe’s Leading Beach Resort;
• Europe’s Leading Luxury All Suite Resort;
• Euorpe’s Leading Luxury Resort;
• Mediterranean’s Leading Resort; and
• Cyprus’ Leading Resort.

Seven Star Awards

Having had the honour of being ordained a winner in 2016 and 2018, Columbia Beach Resort has once again been nominated for Seven Stars Luxury Hospitality and Lifestyle Awards’ Signum Virtutis in the hotels and resorts sector.

Chrisi Skoufi

The Chrisi Skoufi (Toques d’Or) awards have reigned supreme in Greece for 26 years, honouring restaurants distinguished for their culinary flair, creativity, and avant-garde excellence.

Akin to the Michelin Star Awards, it is a huge achievement for our very own Bacchus Restaurant to have been included in this year’s line-up, also marking the first time that the awards have branched out to include restaurants in Cyprus.
