Fun Holiday Activities for All the Family!
Tired of the same old holiday routine? Looking for something more than lazy days of sun and sea? Or perhaps you’re seeking inspiration for how to keep little ones entertained in an original way?
We’ve compiled a few recommendations of fun, out-of-the-box holiday activities for all, which will serve to elevate your family holiday from mere relaxing escape, to memorable, creative getaway.
1. Scrapbooking
In our ever-evolving digital age, it has never been easier to snap photos. Hundreds of them, in fact. Stored on our phones, the vast majority will become lost in digital memory, never to be viewed again.
Scrapbooking is a great way to organise and display your photos. Whether you choose to use Instagram or Pinterest to create a digital scrapbook, complete with captions and tags to remind yourself of the little details of each day, or you choose to invest in a polaroid camera and an album, snapping and sticking as you go, the end result is the same: a treasure trove of lovingly curated holiday memories.
2. Journal Jotting
Best suited for younger travellers, what better way to engage little ones, spur their education even whilst in the throes of recreation, and create a holiday keepsake that will last a lifetime than journal jotting?
Challenge children to keep a holiday diary, documenting all the fun activities they do every day and anything new they have learnt about their host holiday destination; they can even draw pictures of their setting!
3. Ready, steady, cook!
It is oft quoted that food is at the heart of a culture, and when trying to inspire children and get them excited about their host holiday country, what better way to do so than in getting them involved in a culinary class?
Not only will the whole family have some fun learning about local cuisine, you’ll also get the taste the fruits of your labours.
Book your little ones into our Den Kids Club where cooking and baking are a standard feature of our weekly programme.
