Multi-Generational Travel Made Easy!
Multi-Generational Travel Made Easy! Words of wisdom, different points of view, sharing of common experiences, laughing at endearing differences: the list of benefits in engaging with members of other generations, be they older or younger, is endless.
Generations United – an organisation focused on improving the lives of children, young, and older people through intergenerational strategies, programmes, and public policies – certainly thinks so.
That’s why the organisation has spearheaded an annual campaign since 2011 tasked with encouraging all generations to Do Something Grand and engage with another generation on the dedicated Grandparents Day, celebrated every September 9th.
And what better way to do so than in taking a multi-generational trip?
Forget the fevered frenzy of the multigenerational trip often depicted in movies (think ‘Home Alone’!) and instead rest easy at the thought of spacious two-bedroom family suites, private interconnecting suites, activities for one and all, and an array of dining options to suit any and all tastes.
Yes, multi-generational trips really are made easy at Columbia Beach Resort thanks to its keen focus on seamless service, and designing of amenities to appeal to all manner of travellers.
Our family offerings, in particular, are praised for their thoughtfulness in ensuring an – at once – peaceful and exciting stay, offering equal opportunities for relaxation, and trying fun, new activities.
The children, for example, might enjoy engaging in a ball game in the pool to the east of the resort (known for attracting those in search of livelier fun), whilst parents lap up the luxurious life poolside of the resort’s peaceful West Wing pool, spanning an impressive 80m-long.
Grandparents, meanwhile, might be found in the spa, enjoying a treatment targeted to their specific needs.
Come lunch, whether dining at the Apollo Tavern, Cape Aspro Restaurant, or any of our bars, there is a dedicated children’s menu with wholesome treats for the little ones, alongside sophisticated, indulgent delights for the adults of the group.
In the afternoon, the multi-generational family on a mission of exploration might like to head out on a bike tour of Pissouri, courtesy of our in-house bike centre run by two-time former cycling champion, Thomas Wegmüller.
Of course, there’s always our dynamic Den Kids Club and Cub Life Crèche for when children desire independence, and parents and grandparents a little carefree quiet time. Key baby items can even be pre-ordered ahead of the trip via our BabyEase service!
