What Children Want: Columbia Holidays Keep Kids Happy!
The passionate team behind Columbia Beach Resort loves looking after our younger guests.
And whilst we are tucked away behind the serene rolling hills of Pissouri, snuggled into the quiet embrace of the village’s Blue Flag-honoured, 2km-long bay, we are still bursting with child-centric features to keep little ones entertained.
From our dedicated Den Kids Club and Cub Life Crèche and the bounty of nature on our doorstep to be explored, to our water-sports facilities, professional cycling centre, the spectacle of fun is always just around the corner.
Of course, experience has taught us that the inherent wonder with which a child sees its world means that even the smallest of touches can inspire and excite our younger guests’ imaginations.
And in asking the very question – What do you love about Columbia Beach Resort? – we were delighted with the unique responses we received: all food for thought in better understanding what children want, and just why Columbia holidays keep kids happy!
Brother and sister duo, Arlo and Thea (age 9 and 14), are seasoned guests of Columbia Beach Resort, having visited on numerous occasions for their family holidays.
Arlo explained: “I love the resort because I like the little cabin doors in some of the suites , and I love the breakfast because they have yummy food like waffles. I also love the kids club because of all the activities and the new people that you can meet.”
Thea’s focus, instead, was elsewhere: “I love Columbia Beach Resort because there is a bar in the pool so you can sit and have your drink in the pool! Also, because the beach is very close and easy to get to!”
Meanwhile, Molly (age 10) found herself charmed – in particular – by our resort’s feline residents, all taken care of under the umbrella of our philanthropic ‘Columbia Cat Care Project’.
She revealed: “I love the Columbia Beach Resort because of all the fluffy, funny amazing cats (particularly “Mr. Moustache), and the massive, humongous swimming pool!! And I love Cypriot Night because they always get volunteers and my mummy always gets chosen! It is so friendly, and it is a great holiday for everyone!”
And finally George, aged 7 enthused:
“Columbia Beach Resort is AMAZING! I love the great big pool. The first time I ever saw it I was SO excited because it made me think about mermaids. I LOVED IT! My happiest thing about Columbia Beach is that it’s the best place for making friends. I think I spent 10 and a half days laughing and 7 hours a day swimming with my friends. I also love, love, love the big spaces for doing my rhythmic gymnastics and dancing to the music every night. Also the weather is very nice there in the summer so you NEVER have to stop swimming”.
